Alka Strippoli Soars to Top 10 Glory in AARP Champions Mixed Doubles Rankings

Alka Strippoli’s Career Milestone: Florida’s Alka Strippoli reached a new milestone on the APP/AARP Champions Tour, breaking into the top 10 with a career-best #6 ranking in women’s mixed doubles. Her strong fourth-place finish at the APP Fort Lauderdale Open helped push her into the top tier of competitors on the 50+ tour.

Strippoli and Bouzidi Shine in Fort Lauderdale

Strippoli partnered with Youssef Bouzidi in a packed mixed doubles draw that featured 32 main draw teams and a 28-team qualifier. Their fourth-place result at one of the largest stops on the APP/AARP Champions Tour delivered key ranking points and showcased their chemistry and consistency. The event was part of the 2025 APP/AARP Champions Tour, which features the top players aged 50 and older.

Updated Top 5 Women’s Mixed Doubles Rankings

Following the Fort Lauderdale Open, the APP/AARP Champions Tour updated its women’s mixed doubles rankings. The top five currently are:

  1. Lee Whitwell – 4500 points

  2. Lisa Alipaz – 2820 points

  3. Sheri Courter – 2310 points

  4. Nathalie Bagby – 2230 points

  5. Audra Speilberger – 1620 points

Alka Strippoli now holds the #6 spot, marking a significant step forward in her tour career.

Several other players made major jumps in the latest rankings:

  • Karin Kochis – now ranked #8

  • Cara Beth Lee – moved to #13

The next APP/AARP Champions Tour stop is the $100,000 APP Cincinnati Open in Ohio. The Tier II event will take place in May and is expected to draw many of the top-ranked Champion professionals. With momentum on her side, Strippoli will be a player to watch.
