The 2025 APP Great Lakes Open will be held from August 13-17 at the Greater Midland Tennis Center in Midland, Michigan. The tournament will feature AARP Champions play and give amateur players a chance to earn an APP Passport stamp for guaranteed entry into the 2025 APP Tour Championships in December.
Players can register now, with tickets available at TheAPP.global. Organizers remind participants to pay in full when signing up, as no exceptions will be made.

USA Pickleball Sanctioned Event
The competition is a USA Pickleball-sanctioned tournament and a Golden Ticket event for the 2026 USA Pickleball National Championships. All players must have a current USA Pickleball CHAMPION-level membership active through the end of the tournament and include their membership number in their profile.
Registration Rules for Amateurs
Singles amateur players must register and pay their fees to be confirmed. For doubles, both players must register, pay, and be paired together. Teams may be moved to the waitlist if a partner has not completed registration and payment. Players may compete in only one division per day. Brackets will be filled on a first-come basis, with sizes adjusted as needed.
Partner Replacement Policy
If a partner withdraws after registration closes, a replacement must already be registered for the tournament and fit the same skill and age group rules. Players may play down in age and up in skill. Replacements must be confirmed with the registration coordinator by 4 p.m. the day before play.
Fees and Insurance Options
Player entry fee is $115. Additional division fees are $40 for amateur, $130 for pro, $125 for AARP Champion Pro, and $115 for AARP Masters Pro. Refunds before the cancellation deadline will be given minus a fee. Registration and Weather Insurance is available for withdrawals after the deadline.
Code of Conduct
All participants must follow the Player Code of Conduct to ensure a positive tournament experience. Organizers thank players for joining and look forward to seeing them on court.
