RTM DUPR 3.0-3.4 Sessions Will Help to Improve the Pickleball Game

RTM DUPR 3.0-3.4 Sessions: The Road to Minors (RTM) DUPR sessions will begin on February 1, 2025, at Down the Line (DTL) Sports Center in Fairfax, Virginia. These sessions are part of a new initiative to help players qualify for the D.C. Pickleball Team’s Minor League Pickleball (MiLP) rosters. Players can register starting January 13, 2025, for the opportunity to build their DUPR profile and gain valuable match experience.

What is DUPR?

DUPR, or the Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating, is a system designed to rate players based on their skill level for fair competition. This rating helps players find opponents of similar skill and challenge themselves.

The RTM sessions are an essential step for those looking to qualify for the RTM tournament series and eventually the MiLP rosters for the D.C. Pickleball Team.

Session Details

The RTM DUPR sessions are split into four levels:

  • Level 1: Grand Prix 3.0-3.4
  • Level 2: Challenger 3.5-3.9
  • Level 3: Tournament Training 4.0-4.4
  • Level 4: Premier 4.5+

Each session lasts approximately 2 hours in a round-robin format, where players compete with randomized partners. No pre-registration for partners is required. Players must complete at least two RTM DUPR sessions before they can register for the tournament series.

Perks of Participating

Participants will receive a RTM branded item and have a chance to win raffle prizes during the sessions. Joining the Down the Line and D.C. Pickleball Team club accounts gives players the opportunity to win 2025 MLP D.C. tickets. All matches are recorded in DUPR, allowing players to track their progress and officially build their DUPR profile.

Registration and Refund Policy

Registration for the RTM DUPR sessions is open until February 23, 2025, with a $30 fee. There is a no-refund policy for cancellations made less than 7 days before the event. Cancellations with at least 48 hours’ notice may be eligible for a refund if a waitlisted player can take the spot.

The RTM DUPR sessions offer an exciting opportunity for players to advance their skills, meet others, and pave the way for qualifying for the Minor League Pickleball rosters. It’s an excellent chance for anyone looking to elevate their pickleball game and possibly make it to the next level.
