Major League Pickleball Trade Window: Major League Pickleball (MLP) continues to see roster shakeups during Trade Window #1, with multiple teams making moves ahead of the February 15 deadline. The latest trade on February 11 saw the Orlando Squeeze acquire Dylan Frazier and Lacy Schneemann from the Phoenix Flames in exchange for Tyson McGuffin, Meghan Dizon, and cash considerations.
Orlando and Phoenix Make Key Roster Changes
The trade between Orlando and Phoenix brings notable shifts to both teams. Orlando now has a roster featuring Vivienne David, Dylan Frazier, Lacy Schneemann, and Federico Staksrud.
On the other hand, Phoenix now includes Andrei Daescu, Meghan Dizon, Jessie Irvine, and Tyson McGuffin.
Frazier and Schneemann bring strong doubles experience to Orlando. Frazier, ranked in the top five of PPA men’s doubles, is expected to pair well with Staksrud. Schneemann, who recently secured two PPA titles, joins David in what could be a strong women’s doubles duo.
For Phoenix, McGuffin adds veteran leadership and competitiveness, while Dizon strengthens their women’s side. The team is looking to build around its new roster ahead of the free agency period.
Other Trades During Trade Window #1
Earlier, on January 27, two additional trades reshaped MLP rosters. The DC Pickleball Team acquired Jackie Kawamoto from the NY Hustlers in exchange for Vivian Glozman and cash considerations.
In another move, the Columbus Sliders landed CJ Klinger from the NY Hustlers, sending Riley Newman and cash considerations in return.
These trades have adjusted team lineups as follows:
- Columbus Sliders: Jay Devilliers, CJ Klinger, Callie Smith, Parris Todd
- DC Pickleball Team: Dekel Bar, James Ignatowich, Jackie Kawamoto, Rachel Rohrabacher
- NY Hustlers: Vivian Glozman, Lea Jansen, Riley Newman, Jack Sock
Next Steps and Upcoming Deadlines
Trade Window #1 closes on Saturday, February 15, at 10 p.m. ET. After that, teams must declare their keepers—dropping at least one player—by February 16 at 7 p.m. ET.
Rosters will then be finalized in free agency, with Premier Free Agency set for March 2 and Challenger Free Agency on March 3. The 2025 MLP season officially begins in Orlando, Florida, from April 24-27.

As teams make strategic moves, roster depth and chemistry will be key to success in the 2025 season. With high-level talent shifting across teams, fans can expect an exciting season ahead.
