Roster Changes Shake Up MLP Teams
The trade shifts the lineups for both teams as they prepare for upcoming competitions. The Brooklyn Aces now have Daniel De La Rosa, Amanda Hendry, Andrea Koop, and Pablo Tellez on their roster.
Meanwhile, the California Black Bears will move forward with Brandon French, Chris Haworth, Lina Padegimaite, and Layne Sleeth.
Sleeth’s move to California reunites her with Padegimaite, a former Brooklyn Aces teammate. The two played together last season and reached the quarterfinals at the World Pickleball Championships in November 2024.
Implications for the Season
For Brooklyn, acquiring Hendry allows them to reassess their lineup before the next player drop deadline on February 16, 2025. The team will now have time to make additional strategic decisions ahead of the Challenger Level free agency draft scheduled for March 3, 2025.
As the trade window remains open until February 15, 2025, more roster adjustments may follow. Teams across the league will continue evaluating their lineups to strengthen their squads.
