Men’s Doubles Just Got Stronger
Before the trade, the Ranchers had Noe Khlif, a versatile left- and right-side player who had made deep runs in multiple 2025 tournaments. The expected pairing of Khlif on the left and Alshon on the right would have made Texas a top-tier team.
Now, with Oncins in the mix, the team has a left-side player with even more length. Pairing Oncins with the also 6-foot-2 Alshon creates a physically dominant men’s doubles duo that could be among the best in MLP.
Mixed Doubles Outlook
- Christian Alshon and Etta Tuionetoa will remain the team’s top pairing, a strong duo that won silver at PPA Worlds last November.
- Eric Oncins and Tina Pisnik will likely form the second mixed doubles team, adding another solid combination to the Ranchers’ lineup.
Texas Ranchers’ Championship Potential
While losing Khlif is a tough blow, Oncins brings a high ceiling and could be the final piece Texas needs to push for a title in 2025.
Miami Pickleball Club Brings Back Noe Khlif
For Miami, this trade marks a homecoming for Noe Khlif, who helped lead the club to a Challenger level title in 2024.
Team France Forms in Miami
With Khlif joining veteran Jay Devilliers, Miami now has an all-French pairing in men’s doubles. Devilliers prefers the left side, while Khlif has experience playing both sides, making them a strong and flexible duo.
Mixed Doubles Pairings
- Noe Khlif is expected to play with Milan Rane, a familiar partner from PPA tournaments.
- Jay Devilliers will likely team up with Mya Bui, a rising talent endorsed by top player Anna Bright.
Can Khlif’s Second Stint in Miami Deliver?
Khlif’s first time with Miami resulted in a title. Now, back in South Florida, he has another opportunity to make an impact at the Premier Level. The next few tournaments will show whether this move strengthens Miami’s chances in 2025.
