Los Angeles Mad Drops Restructure Leadership: The Los Angeles Mad Drops have promoted Athena Trouillot to general manager, elevating her from her previous role as head coach. Trouillot, who has been with the team since 2023, takes over as the MLP franchise’s new leader ahead of the 2025 Major League Pickleball season.
A Full-Circle Moment
Trouillot’s journey with the Mad Drops began when her wife, top-ranked pro-Catherine Parenteau, was drafted by the team in 2023. Since then, Trouillot has played an integral role in the team’s success and development.
“Being a part of this amazing organization since our first full MLP season, it feels full circle to accept this leadership position after two seasons of growth and success. My deep commitment to this team and our strong work ethic fuels my excitement for the future. I look forward to contributing to the continued growth and success of this exceptional organization as we build on our foundation.” – (Trouillot)
She emphasized her commitment to the team’s work ethic and long-term success, stating that she looks forward to building on the foundation already in place.
