Columbus Sliders Launch MiLP Event to Boost Amateur Pickleball Talent

Columbus Sliders Launch MiLP Event: The Columbus Sliders, a Major League Pickleball (MLP) franchise, will host their first-ever Minor League Pickleball (MiLP) event on April 19 at Pickle & Chill in Columbus, Ohio. This event aims to develop rising talent, engage the community, and create a direct path for amateur players to reach the professional level.

A Step Toward Player Development

The event, organized by tournament director Fernando Esquivel, is a major step in the Sliders’ commitment to surging the sport. By launching its own MiLP competition, the franchise is investing in its future and the broader pickleball community.

The tournament will feature top talent competing in the MiLP format. Additionally, players signed up for the amateur event at the MLP Columbus tournament on May 1-4 will receive a discount and can enter the MiLP event for just $5 per player. Winners in each division will earn medals.

Connecting MiLP and MLP in Columbus

This event is strategically scheduled just weeks before the MLP Columbus tournament, creating a seamless connection between MiLP and MLP for players, fans, and sponsors. The back-to-back tournaments will enhance exposure for emerging players and increase engagement in the local pickleball scene.
