Global Stars Join Việt Nam’s Pickleball Celebration
The “Rise with the Flames” event marks Việt Nam’s full entry into the global pickleball scene. It is organized by the Vietnam Pickleball Incubator (VPI) with Proton Pickleball Vietnam and Pink Tour. Activities are taking place in Hà Nội, Ninh Bình, Quảng Ninh, and Hồ Chí Minh City.
International stars include world No. 1 doubles player Andrei Daescu, Jack Sock, Genie Bouchard, Tyson McGuffin, Jesse Irvine, and Pesa Teoni. All are members of the Phoenix Flames, a top-ranked Major League Pickleball (MLP) team.
They will join talk shows, play exhibition matches, and share training tips while promoting Vietnamese culture to the world.
Cultural Tours and Matches Across Việt Nam
On April 12, players visited the Hà Nội Tourism Gifts Festival. There, they tried folk games, watched a water puppet show, and enjoyed local foods.
On April 13, the group travels to Ninh Bình to explore the UNESCO-listed Tràng An Landscape Complex. Matches will be held in the area’s scenic natural setting.
A major event, MLP Day, is scheduled for April 15 in Hà Nội. International players will face off against Việt Nam’s top talent at the Đại Kim Complex courts.
Việt Nam’s team will include tennis stars-turned-picklers like Lý Hoàng Nam, Trịnh Linh Giang, and Vinh Hiển. They will be joined by amateurs Quỳnh Phan, Trang Red, Phong Coca, Jack Wong, Nam Bún, Thắng Bò, and Hoàng Đồng.
The event will stream live on FPT Play and social media, with fan interaction activities included.
Final Matches and Fans Meet-and-Greet in HCM City
On April 17 and 18, HCM City fans can see the world’s top players in action. Events will be held at D-Joy Pickleball Thủ Thiêm and South Saigon Courts. Attendees can watch exhibition matches and receive tips directly from the pros.
VPI’s Vision for Pickleball in Việt Nam
The Vietnam Pickleball Incubator is the first group in the country working solely to grow the sport. Their aim is to connect, train, and develop a strong national pickleball scene.
They plan to support local clubs, organize events, nurture young talent, and help build a national team.This event is not only a sport exchange but also a starting point for a sustainable ecosystem, focusing on players and the community.
It is to approve that Việt Nam is not only a friendly host but also new destination of world sport and a pickleball centre in the near future.
