Miami Pickleball Club Edges Out Utah Black Diamonds: The Miami Pickleball Club secured a hard-earned 3-2 DreamBreaker victory against the Utah Black Diamonds, claiming their second win of the 2025 season at the MLP Orlando 2025 event, held at the USTA National Campus.
Miami’s Strong Showing in Men’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles
The Utah Black Diamonds started strong with an 11-8 win in the women’s doubles, as Allyce Jones and Genie Erokhina edged out Miami’s Mya Bui and Jay Devilliers. However, the Miami Pickleball Club quickly responded in the men’s doubles match, with Noe Khlif playing a key role in the team’s 11-6 victory alongside Devilliers.
Khlif continued to lead Miami’s charge in the first mixed doubles match, where the team of Khlif and Bui overcame Connor Garnett and Erokhina of Utah in a tight battle. That win gave Miami the upper hand in the overall score, 2-1, as they advanced to the decisive DreamBreaker round.

DreamBreaker Decides the Match
The final deciding DreamBreaker contest was a dramatic one. Utah kept the match alive with an 11-6 win in mixed doubles, thanks to Allyce Jones and Connor Garnett’s strong play. This set up the DreamBreaker, with both teams tied at 18 points.
Noe Khlif stepped up in the critical final round, dominating the third rotation, where he outscored Utah’s Tyler Loong 9-3. The performance set up Jay Devilliers to face Garnett with the score tied. In the final moments, Devilliers delivered in clutch fashion, scoring three of the last four points to seal the win for Miami.
Miami’s Impressive 2-0 Start to the Season
With the victory, Miami improved to 2-0 on the season, showing resilience and strong teamwork. Their solid performance in mixed doubles and the DreamBreaker highlights their potential for a successful 2025 season.
Both teams will return to action on Saturday at the USTA National Campus. Utah will face the Orlando Squeeze, while Miami will take on the Brooklyn Pickleball Team in their next challenge.
