Miami Pickleball Club Clinches Thrilling DreamBreaker Win Over Chicago Slice at 2025 MLP Columbus

Miami Pickleball Club’s DreamBreaker Victory: The Miami Pickleball Club earned a close DreamBreaker win against the Chicago Slice on Saturday at Pickle & Chill during the 2025 MLP Columbus, presented by The James at Ohio State. The match ended 21-18 in favor of Miami, giving them their second victory of the day.

Miami Edges Out Chicago

With the win, the Miami Pickleball Club improved to 5-4 with 12 points. The Chicago Slice fell to 2-4 with 6 points. The game was decided by a DreamBreaker tiebreaker after both teams won two matches each.

Miami picked up two wins in doubles play. Noe Khlif and Jay Devilliers won the men’s doubles match. Milan Rane and Noe Khlif teamed up for a victory in mixed doubles. These wins forced the match into a DreamBreaker to decide the winner.

The Chicago Slice led 11-9 at the side switch in the DreamBreaker. But strong play by Milan Rane and Jay Devilliers in back-to-back rotations gave Miami the lead. Miami held on until Milan Rane finished the match against Callie Smith.

Jay Devilliers shared thoughts about Miami’s DreamBreaker performance.

“That was our third DreamBreaker of the year, so we feel like we have some good experience because we on the first two. Johnny [Goldberg, coach of Miami PC] was telling me that the energy was not as good this morning and that we had to bring it this afternoon, so I think the team did a great job of doing that in this match.” – (Devilliers)
