Orlando, now 8-2 with 22 points, defeated Chicago 21-17 after a strong finish led by Federico Staksrud.
The win came just a day after the Orlando Squeeze were swept by the top-ranked St. Louis Shock. Despite that tough loss, the team showed resilience and focus in their return to the court against the Chicago Slice, who are now 2-5 with 7 points.
Staksrud Powers the Comeback
Federico Staksrud played a key role in Orlando’s win. He partnered with Dylan Frazier in men’s doubles and with Lacy Schneemann in mixed doubles, winning both matches. His best performance came during the DreamBreaker.
In the singles tiebreaker, Federico Staksrud faced James Ignatowich and dominated the match. Staksrud outscored Ignatowich 11-1 over three rotations. That performance helped Orlando secure the final score of 21-17.
