Orlando Squeeze Stuns 2025 MLP Columbus With Standings Surge—Is This the Team’s Breakout Year?

Orlando Squeeze’s MLP Columbus 2025 Performance: The Orlando Squeeze earned 14 out of 18 points during the second event of the 2025 Major League Pickleball season in Columbus, Ohio. Out of nine Premier Level teams that competed, Orlando made a strong push, winning most of their matches and moving up the league standings.

Orlando Makes the Most of a Six-match Schedule

The 2025 MLP season continued with nine of the league’s 16 Premier teams in action in Columbus. The Orlando Squeeze had six matches and made the most of the opportunity. The team won several close contests and finished the week with 14 points, one of the top scores of the event.

This followed a solid effort during the season opener at home. Now, with another strong result, the Orlando Squeeze are gaining momentum and proving they belong among the top teams.

Federico Staksrud Steps Up

Federico Staksrud stood out in Columbus with high energy and solid play. He looked confident and seemed to enjoy the format this week. In the past, players like Riley Newman and JW Johnson also faced criticism but later proved themselves by winning MLP seasons. This strong week could be the start of a breakout MLP season for Federico Staksrud.

One Tough Loss Shows the Gap

The only major setback for Orlando came against the St. Louis Shock. In that match, St. Louis swept Orlando 4-0, showing the difference between a very good team and a team that is at the top of the league.

Orlando’s Rise Could Continue

After earning 14 points in Columbus, the Orlando Squeeze now sit higher in the standings and look ready to compete with the league’s best. If Federico Staksrud and his teammates keep this up, 2025 could be a big year for the team.
