Major League Pickleball Schedule Update: Major League Pickleball (MLP) has made changes to its 2025 season schedule. The June 5–8 event, originally set for Salt Lake City, Utah, will now be held in Daytona Beach, Florida, at Pictona. This move was made due to construction delays in St. Petersburg, Florida.
The July 31–August 3 event, which was supposed to take place in St. Petersburg, will now be held in Salt Lake City. In addition, the league updated the match schedule for the Phoenix event, with more games now planned for Toray Championship Court and an earlier finish on Sunday.
Daytona Beach to Host June Event
This will be the first time since 2023 that MLP returns to Daytona Beach. The new venue, Pictona, will host the four-day event from June 5 to June 8. However, there will be no amateur matches in Daytona Beach.
Salt Lake City Takes Over Summer Slot
The Salt Lake City event was originally going to happen in early June. It will now take place from July 31 to August 3. It replaces the St. Petersburg stop on the calendar, which was canceled because its venue will not be ready in time. Salt Lake City will also include amateur matches.
Phoenix Match Schedule Updated
The league also shared updates for the upcoming MLP Phoenix event. The new match grid features more games on the main court, Toray Championship Court. Matches on Sunday will end earlier than planned.
Why the Changes Happened
These updates were necessary because the St. Petersburg venue is not finished yet. Since it won’t be ready for the summer, MLP had to shift locations.
What’s Next for the Season
The 2025 season will continue with MLP Austin from May 23 to May 26 at Austin Pickle Ranch. Fans can expect more updates as the league moves forward.
News in Brief: Major League Pickleball Schedule Update
Major League Pickleball has changed its 2025 schedule. The June event will now be in Daytona Beach, Florida. Salt Lake City will host the late July event instead of St. Petersburg. The Phoenix schedule was also adjusted. These changes are due to the St. Petersburg venue not being completed on time.
