Dink Minor League Pickleball Showdown: The Dink Minor League Pickleball is coming to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, with the Baton Rouge Showdown happening from May 31 to June 1, 2025. The tournament will be hosted at Stacks Pickleball Club, located at 9550 Dawnadele Avenue. Teams of four players—two men and two women—will compete in a fun and fast-paced format known as MLPlay. The event will feature several levels based on DUPR ratings, and registration is $120 per player.
What to Expect at the Event
This event is part of the growing Minor League Pickleball movement, which brings players together in a team-based format. Each match includes four games: women’s doubles, men’s doubles, and two mixed doubles games. If the teams are tied after four games, they go into a Dreambreaker, a singles match with players rotating every four rallies until one team scores 21 points and wins by two.
The Baton Rouge Showdown is organized by Tournament Director Bee Vo. Teams must register and pay as a group. All players are required to have a DUPR account at registration. Those without a rating can still play, but the tournament director will verify their skill level. A team currently on the standby list is The 31Acers, who have signed up under the DUPR 16 division.
Schedule of Events
The event kicks off with open play on Friday, May 30, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. This session is free for registered players, but they must sign up in advance on Court Reserve.

Registration and Substitutions
Players registering as individuals must include the team name and division, such as “Mad Drops – 18.” If they do not have a team, the tournament director will try to place them. If not placed, players will get a refund.
Teams needing a substitute player can update their roster through Swish or by contacting the tournament director. The substitute’s rating must not push the team over the division’s maximum.
Refund Policy
Refunds are available if a player cancels at least 15 days before the event. There will be a $5 technology fee and a 3% processing fee deducted. If a single player cannot be placed on a team, they will receive a full refund minus those fees within 3–5 business days after the event.
