Brooklyn Pickleball Team Launches Elite Tryouts for Minor League Pickleball

Brooklyn Pickleball Team Tryouts: The Brooklyn Pickleball Team (BKPT) is offering a rare chance for skilled players to earn a spot on its DUPR 20 Minor League Pickleball (MiLP) roster. Tryouts will be held on Tuesday, June 10, from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM at PKLYN, located at 80 4th Street, Brooklyn, New York. Only 20 spots are available, and players will be competing in front of Brooklyn Pickleball Team Head Coach Kyle McKenzie and team pros. This tryout aims to find 3–4 men and 3–4 women to join the elite roster.

Elite Talent Search in Brooklyn

The tryout is open to players with DUPR ratings from 4.7 to 6.0. For $195 per player, participants will receive BKPT gear and the opportunity to be evaluated by professionals, including Dekel Bar, Pat Smith, Hannah Blatt, Rachel Rohrabacher, and Jackie Kawamoto.

Unlike ordinary tryouts, this event is designed as a high-level competition. Players will test their skills with and against existing BKPT pros. Coach Kyle McKenzie and his team will watch closely to find the best new talent to represent Brooklyn on the DUPR 20 MiLP stage.

More Than Just a Tryout

“BKPT is building its DUPR 20 MiLP Roster — and YOU could be one of just 3–4 men and 3–4 women selected!” the organizers said. The team promises a full experience, including “official jerseys, elite coaching, tournament glory, and a future in pro pickleball.”

With the presence of top players like Dekel Bar and Pat Smith, the event becomes not just a tryout, but a unique opportunity to stand out and gain attention from professionals already in the spotlight.

Spots Are Extremely Limited

“This isn’t just a tryout — it’s your chance to make history,” the organizers added. The event is limited to only 20 players, making the stakes even higher. Each participant will be given the chance to prove they belong at the next level of competitive pickleball.

By providing an intense and immersive format, the BKPT hopes to discover hidden talent ready to compete on the national stage.

What Comes Next

For players who make the team, the next steps include receiving professional coaching and competing in future Minor League Pickleball events. This tryout could be the first step toward a long career in competitive pickleball, starting with representing the Brooklyn Pickleball Team.

The event will not only help select the next roster but also set a high standard for how MiLP teams evaluate and grow new talent. With BKPT pros and Coach Kyle McKenzie leading the way, this tryout is built to find future stars.
