Brooklyn Pickleball Team Rallies Past Los Angeles Mad Drops With Electrifying Mixed Doubles Triumph in 2025 MLP Phoenix

Brooklyn Pickleball Team Rallies Past Los Angeles Mad Drops: The Brooklyn Pickleball Team earned a 3-1 win over the Los Angeles Mad Drops on Thursday at the 2025 MLP Phoenix event, held at the Arizona Athletic Grounds. Brooklyn’s strong showing in mixed doubles helped seal the victory and improve its season record to 3-3.

Los Angeles, missing player Quang Duong, opened with a win in women’s doubles. However, Brooklyn took the next three matches—men’s doubles and both mixed doubles contests—to claim the match in regulation. The Mad Drops dropped to 1-3 overall.

Mad Drops Take Early Lead

The contest started with a solid performance from the Los Angeles women’s team. But Brooklyn bounced back quickly. In men’s doubles, Dekel Bar and Riley Newman delivered a key win for the team. That momentum carried over into mixed doubles, where Brooklyn closed out the match.

Rachel Rohrabacher and Dekel Bar finished the job with an 11-8 win over Jade Kawamoto and Hunter Johnson. Bar made several highlight plays during that final match, showing off fast movement and sharp anticipation.

“Sometimes it just happens—seeing the ball, where it’s going and just trying to anticipate. It went our way today and helped us get a great team win.” – (Dekel)

His energy and court presence helped Brooklyn finish the match with confidence.

Looking Ahead

Brooklyn will next play the Dallas Flash on Friday evening. The Los Angeles Mad Drops won’t have to wait long to bounce back—they’re scheduled to face the Phoenix Flames later Thursday night.
