They beat the Atlanta Bouncers in regulation play during the latest round of matches at the 2025 MLP Phoenix. With this win, Utah improved to a 1-3 record and collected four points in the standings.
Atlanta started strong by winning the women’s doubles match. But Utah fought back by taking the men’s doubles and both mixed doubles contests. This comeback helped them finish with their first victory of the season.

Utah Breaks Through After Slow Start
Utah had lost its first three matches of the year. Before this match, they were one of the few teams still searching for a win. The team made a key trade in March when they brought in Allyce Jones, swapping out Alix Truong. Jones was thrilled about the team’s breakthrough.
“It definitely feels good to get one. At the first event, we were a brand-new team and still kind of building our chemistry. Getting this W obviously gives us more confidence for the rest of the weekend.” – (Allyce Jones)
Atlanta Can’t Hold Early Lead
The Atlanta Bouncers, now 3-7 on the season with eight points, began the match strong by winning the women’s doubles. But after that, they could not keep the momentum going. Utah played solidly across the final three matches to seal the win.
Both teams will return to action on Friday at the 2025 MLP Phoenix event. The Utah Black Diamonds and the Atlanta Bouncers will each face off against the Phoenix Flames.
