Mixed Doubles Clinches the Win
In the first mixed doubles match, Allyce Jones and Connor Garnett faced Jessie Irvine and Tyson McGuffin. It was a close game, but Jones and Garnett won 11-9, giving Utah the match win in regulation. Connor Garnett spoke about the team’s comeback during the mixed doubles match.
“[Jessie and Tyson] got off to a strong start, so we just had to weather the storm and bring the energy. We changed up a few things and slowed it down a little bit at the end, and we were able to find some success and get that one done.” – (Garnett)
