Dallas Flash Crush Phoenix Flames With Dominant Doubles Display at MLP Showdown

Dallas Flash Crush Phoenix Flames: The Dallas Flash picked up their third win of the 2025 Major League Pickleball season with a 3-1 victory over the Phoenix Flames on Saturday. The match was held at Edward Jones MLP Phoenix, hosted at the Arizona Athletic Grounds. Dallas won three of four matches to clinch the win before the Dreambreaker round.

Dallas Starts Strong in Women’s Doubles

The first match saw Dallas come out fast and focused. Tyra Hurricane Black and Jorja Johnson dominated Genie Bouchard and Jessie Irvine 11-1 in the women’s doubles match. The strong win gave Dallas early momentum.

Phoenix responded with a narrow win in men’s doubles. Jack Sock and Tyson McGuffin edged out JW Johnson and Augustus Ge by a score of 11-9. This tied the match at 1-1.

Mixed Doubles Push Dallas to Victory

Dallas regained the lead in the third match. JW Johnson and Jorja Johnson beat Tyson McGuffin and Jessie Irvine 11-3 in mixed doubles. They played with control and energy to put Dallas back in front.

The fourth match sealed the win for Dallas. Tyra Hurricane Black and Augustus Ge overpowered Jack Sock and Genie Bouchard 11-1 in the second mixed doubles contest. That gave Dallas their third point and ended the match without needing a Dreambreaker.
