Major League Pickleball Player Trade: On Tuesday afternoon, Major League Pickleball confirmed a key trade between the Chicago Slice and the Atlanta Bouncers. The Chicago Slice (2-6, 8 points) received Vivian Glozman, while the Atlanta Bouncers (4-11, 12 points) acquired Vivienne David in a straight swap with no money exchanged.
Glozman Joins Chicago’s Lineup
Vivian Glozman will now join a Chicago team that includes Callie Smith, Pierina Imparato, James Ignatowich, Max Freeman, and Carlos Di Laura. Glozman arrives after a tough stretch with Atlanta, where she recorded an 11-19 match record in 15 games.
She struggled to settle into the Bouncers lineup after being traded in the offseason from the New York Hustlers and the Brooklyn Pickleball Team. In women’s doubles, she went 5-10 with Victoria DiMuzio. In mixed doubles, she went 6-9 playing alongside Jaume Martinez Vich.
Despite that, Glozman’s move to Chicago could be a turning point. She will likely partner with veteran Callie Smith in women’s doubles. She may also play mixed doubles with James Ignatowich. The duo previously made it to the quarterfinals at the PPA Las Vegas Cup in August 2024.
Glozman is also expected to help the team in DreamBreaker rounds. So far, Chicago has a 1-3 record in those tiebreaker matchups.

David Looks for New Start in Atlanta
Vivienne David heads to the Atlanta Bouncers, where she will join Victoria DiMuzio, Rachel Rettger, Jaume Martinez Vich, Todd Fought, and Sam Querrey. David had an 8-8 record with the Chicago Slice this season.
Her switch to Atlanta may come with challenges. David usually plays on the right side of the court in doubles. This means that Victoria DiMuzio, who is still proving herself, may need to take on a new role on the left side.
David and Jaume Martinez Vich could become an entertaining mixed doubles team. Still, it’s uncertain whether this trade will improve Atlanta’s performance. The team is coming off a poor 1-5 result at the 2025 MLP Phoenix event.
There were no financial terms included in the deal, which has led to questions about Atlanta’s strategy. Some reports say there were issues with team chemistry that surfaced during the Phoenix matches. That may have pushed the Bouncers to make the trade.
Vivienne David will not debut for the Atlanta Bouncers until the Mid-Season Tournament, which will be held from July 9 to July 13.
What the Trade Means for Both Teams
This move gives Vivian Glozman a fresh opportunity with new teammates and stronger support. Chicago hopes her presence will boost their performance in both doubles and DreamBreaker rounds.
For the Atlanta Bouncers, the addition of David may bring experience but also creates lineup concerns. If chemistry improves, the team could still find value in the move.
News in Brief: Major League Pickleball Player Trade
Vivian Glozman was traded to the Chicago Slice, while Vivienne David joined the Atlanta Bouncers in a player-only swap. Glozman brings needed strength to Chicago’s lineup. David may face challenges adjusting in Atlanta. The trade comes after Atlanta’s poor run and possible team chemistry issues in Phoenix.
