Los Angeles Wins the Opening Women’s Doubles
The match began with Los Angeles’ Catherine Parenteau and Jade Kawamoto defeating the previously unbeaten duo of Anna Bright and Kate Fahey 11-5 in women’s doubles. This marked the ninth straight win for Parenteau and Kawamoto over top Major League Pickleball women’s doubles teams.
“We talk a lot about strategy before every match, and we just trust each other. I mean, Jade is a rock next to me. She won’t miss a dink, a reset, or anything, really, and I just have to do my job and try to be aggressive. That balance has been working out for us.” – (Parenteau)
