St. Louis Starts Strong in Doubles
The day began with women’s doubles, where Anna Bright and Kate Fahey of the St. Louis Shock dominated Callie Smith and Vivian Glozman from the Chicago Slice. The match ended 11-3 in favor of St. Louis.
Next, the men’s doubles saw Hayden Patriquin and Gabriel Tardio take the court for the Shock. They stayed ahead throughout and beat James Ignatowich and Max Freeman 11-8, giving St. Louis a 2-0 lead.
Mixed Doubles Clinch the Sweep
In the first mixed doubles match, Anna Bright teamed up with Hayden Patriquin to face Max Freeman and Callie Smith. Bright and Patriquin were in full control and won 11-4.
Then, Kate Fahey and Gabriel Tardio finished off the event with an 11-2 win over James Ignatowich and Vivian Glozman in the second mixed doubles game. The match ended before a DreamBreaker was needed.
