St. Louis Shock Dominates Texas Ranchers: The St. Louis Shock ended their time in Florida with a dominant 4-0 win over the Texas Ranchers on Saturday at 2025 MLP Daytona Beach. The Shock, now 13-1 with 39 points, swept all four games and didn’t need a DreamBreaker to seal their victory.
The win helped St. Louis finish their Florida matches with five straight wins after dropping their first game of the weekend. Texas Ranchers, now 7-6 with 24 points, were outscored 47-18 overall in the match.
Strong Start in Women’s Doubles Sets the Tone
The action began with a close women’s doubles match. Anna Bright and Kate Fahey of the St. Louis Shock quickly led 8-3 over Etta Tuionetoa and Tina Pisnik of the Texas Ranchers. But Tuionetoa and Pisnik fought back to tie it at 9-9.
Bright and Fahey stayed calm and won 12-10 in one of the most exciting games of the weekend.

Anna Bright said the win gave their team the momentum they needed for the rest of the match.
“I think [Etta and Tina] came out a bit flat and raised their level, and we weren’t really ready for that. We were fortunately able to hang on to the lead that we had built, but it was definitely a really, really high-quality match.” – (Bright)

Shock Pull Away with Big Wins in Remaining Matches
After the women’s doubles win, the St. Louis Shock took full control. In men’s doubles, Hayden Patriquin and Gabriel Tardio crushed Christian Alshon and Eric Oncins 11-3.
In the first mixed doubles game, Kate Fahey and Gabriel Tardio beat Tina Pisnik and Eric Oncins 11-3. In the second mixed doubles, Anna Bright and Hayden Patriquin overpowered Christian Alshon and Etta Tuionetoa 11-2. With a 4-0 score, the match ended without needing a DreamBreaker.
Looking Ahead for Both Teams
The St. Louis Shock wrapped up their 2025 MLP Daytona Beach schedule with five wins and just one loss. Their only defeat came against the Los Angeles Mad Drops. They will next compete in the Edward Jones MLP Mid-Season Tournament from July 9 to July 13.
The Texas Ranchers will try to bounce back in their final Florida match against the SoCal Hard Eights on Sunday afternoon.
