Los Angeles Starts Strong in Doubles Play
In the women’s doubles match, Catherine Parenteau and Jade Kawamoto of the Los Angeles Mad Drops dominated Callie Smith and Vivian Glozman from the Chicago Slice. The Mad Drops took the game 11-4.
Then, in men’s doubles, Quang Duong and Hunter Johnson delivered a huge win. They defeated James Ignatowich and Max Freeman 11-1, giving Los Angeles a 2-0 lead in the match.
Mixed Doubles Secures the Sweep
The Los Angeles Mad Drops kept up the pressure in the mixed doubles rounds. Hunter Johnson and Jade Kawamoto beat Callie Smith and Max Freeman 11-5 in the first mixed doubles game.
To finish the job, Quang Duong and Catherine Parenteau took on James Ignatowich and Vivian Glozman. They won 11-6, sealing the 4-0 team win for Los Angeles. Because the Mad Drops won all four matches, the DreamBreaker was not played.
