Brooklyn Pickleball Team Ignites NYC: Major League Showdown, Fan Festival, and VIP Giveaway Hit Randall’s Island

Brooklyn Pickleball Team Ignites NYC: Major League Pickleball, presented by DoorDash, will host a four-day tournament from July 3 to July 6 at SPORTIME Randall’s Island in New York City. The event will feature 30 professional coed team matches, including four matches starring the hometown team, the Brooklyn Pickleball Team.

The event will bring more than just competitive matches. A festival-style celebration will surround the tournament with food, drinks, music, an amateur pickleball competition, and sponsor booths. Fans can buy tickets and register for the amateur tournament through the event’s official site.

Brooklyn Team Brings the Energy Home

The Brooklyn Pickleball Team is using this event to connect with local fans. As part of the excitement, they are hosting a giveaway for a VIP ticket package. Anyone who follows the team’s Instagram account (@brooklynpickleball.team) by Sunday, June 29, is eligible to win. Adam Behnke, Chief Operating Officer of the Brooklyn Pickleball Team, said,

SPORTIME Welcomes World-Class Competition

The Brooklyn Pickleball Team includes top players Rachel Rohrabacher, Dekel Bar, Riley Newman, Jackie Kawamoto, Patrick Smith, and Hannah Blatt. The team will train at SPORTIME Randall’s Island on Thursday, June 12, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Eastern Time. Members of the media are invited to watch the training and speak with players after the session.

What’s Next for Major League Pickleball

The 2025 Major League Pickleball season includes 14 events in nine states. These include ten regular-season stops, a Mid-Season Tournament, two playoff rounds, and the MLP Cup in November. Each team, both Premier and Challenger Level, will play 25 matches across five events.

After the first playoff round in August, the top four teams will return to New York. They will compete in the Semifinals and Championship at Wollman Rink in Central Park.
