Major League Pickleball 2025 Playoffs: Major League Pickleball (MLP presented by DoorDash) has announced the full details for its 2025 Playoffs. The postseason begins at Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego, California, from August 15 to 17, and concludes with the MLP Finals at CityPickle at Wollman Rink in Central Park, New York City, from August 22 to 24.
Tickets for the San Diego event are available through Tixr.com. Tickets for the New York City finals can be purchased at Ticketmaster. The playoffs follow a 10-event regular season and will decide the toughest championship in professional pickleball.
Playoff Format and Match Schedule
The top 10 Premier Level teams from the regular season will compete in San Diego. Also, all six Challenger Level teams will take part.
On Friday, August 15, the Premier Level First Round will feature teams seeded No. 7 through No. 10 in single-elimination matches. The winners move on to the Second Round.
The Second Round includes seeds No. 1 to No. 6, plus the First Round winners. These teams will play a best-of-three match series through Sunday, August 17. Seeds No. 1 and No. 2 begin their series on Friday, while seeds No. 3 and No. 4 begin Saturday.
Four winning teams will move on to the Premier Level Semifinals in New York City.
The Challenger Playoffs also begin in San Diego. On Friday, August 15, seeds No. 3 to No. 6 face off in single-elimination matches. Winners then join seeds No. 1 and No. 2 in the Semifinals.
The Challenger Semifinals will be played as best-of-three series on Friday and Saturday. Winners will move on to the Challenger Finals in New York City.
MLP Finals in New York City
The 2025 season will close with the Premier and Challenger Level Finals at Wollman Rink in Central Park.
On August 22 and 23, the Premier Semifinals will be played as a best-of-three series. Winners of those matches will compete for the Premier Level title on August 23 and 24.
The Challenger Level Finals, also best-of-three matches, will take place on the same weekend.
Amateur Tournament in San Diego
Alongside the pro playoffs, San Diego will also host the largest amateur pickleball tournament in MLP history. Registration is open now on Pickleball Brackets. Players of all levels are expected to take part in this major side event.
