Unbeaten Streaks and High Stakes: What’s at Play in Sunday’s Major League Pickleball San Clemente Clashes?

Major League Pickleball San Clemente Showdowns: Edward Jones Major League Pickleball San Clemente will continue on Sunday, June 29, 2025, with eight important matches at Life Time Rancho San Clemente. Top teams will try to improve their positions in the standings, including a big game between the Los Angeles Mad Drops and the Columbus Sliders.

Los Angeles Mad Drops Meet the Undefeated Columbus Sliders

One of the most exciting matches of the weekend will happen Sunday morning. The Los Angeles Mad Drops have a record of 12 wins and 5 losses with 33 points. They will face the Columbus Sliders, who are 9-4 with 26 points. The Columbus Sliders have not lost any games in their two matches this weekend. They hope to keep this streak going. The match will start at 10 a.m. Pacific Time on Championship Court.

Phoenix Flames Aim to Build Momentum

The Phoenix Flames broke a six-match losing streak on Saturday evening with a DreamBreaker win over the SoCal Hard Eights. The men’s doubles team of Jack Sock and Tyson McGuffin has been strong, winning all three of their matches this weekend. The Phoenix Flames will end their weekend with two more games—one against the Columbus Sliders and another against the Los Angeles Mad Drops in a Primetime Pickleball match.

Brooklyn and DC Teams Close Out Their Weekends

The Brooklyn Pickleball Team is also unbeaten so far in San Clemente. They have been playing without Dekel Bar and Riley Newman, who are both injured, and Pat Smith, who is sick. On-site alternates AJ Koller and Rafa Hewett have filled in and helped the team stay strong. Brooklyn will finish with matches against the SoCal Hard Eights and the Utah Black Diamonds.

At the Challenger level, the DC Pickleball Team moved up to second place after beating the Las Vegas Night Owls in a DreamBreaker on Saturday. DC will end the weekend with a match against the Nashville Chefs at 2:15 p.m. Pacific Time on Grandstand Court.

These games will help decide which teams stay at the top and which players keep their winning ways. Fans can look forward to more exciting rallies and strong performances as the event comes to a close.
