The match began with the women’s doubles game. Rachel Rohrabacher and Jackie Kawamoto from the Brooklyn Pickleball Team dominated Cailyn Campbell and Jalina Ingram. The Brooklyn pair won by a clear 11–0 score, giving their team the first point of the day.

SoCal Responds in Men’s Doubles

The SoCal Hard Eights answered back in the men’s doubles. Blaine Hovenier and Ryan Fu defeated Rafa Hewett and AJ Koller with a score of 11–2. This tied the overall contest and showed that SoCal would not give up easily.
