This four-day event featured four Premier-level teams and four Challenger-level teams. Every team aimed to improve their season records and show their skills against top competition. The California Black Bears proved they were ready for the challenge.

Women’s and Men’s Doubles
The day began with the women’s doubles match. Layne Sleeth and Lina Padegimaite from California Black Bears played strongly and beat Christa Gecheva and Andrea Koop from D.C. Pickleball Team 11-2. This early win gave California an advantage.
In the men’s doubles match, Michael Loyd and Juan Benitez from California Black Bears added another victory. They defeated Daniel De La Rosa and Stefan Auvergne by 11-6 to build a two-match lead.
Mixed Doubles Matches
The D.C. Pickleball Team fought back in mixed doubles. In the first mixed doubles match, Daniel De La Rosa and Christa Gecheva beat Lina Padegimaite and Juan Benitez 11-5. This result kept D.C. in the contest.
