The match took place at Pickler Universe in Carrollton across the Championship and Grandstand Courts. With the victory, Texas Ranchers added a third win to their tournament record.
The DreamBreaker round was not played, as the Ranchers had already sealed the match by winning three out of four games. Each game in the matchup contributed points and momentum heading into next week’s competition at The Picklr MLP Salt Lake City.
Ranchers Dominate Doubles Games
The match began with the women’s doubles contest. Tina Pisnik and Kaitlyn Christian played strongly together and beat Jalina Ingram and Cailyn Campbell 11-7.
In the men’s doubles, Christian Alshon and Eric Oncins added another win for the Ranchers by defeating Ryan Fu and Blaine Hovenier 11-8.
The first mixed doubles match featured Tina Pisnik and Eric Oncins of the Ranchers against Ryan Fu and Cailyn Campbell of the Hard Eights. Pisnik and Oncins edged out their opponents 11-9 to give their team a 3-0 lead and clinch the match.
Hard Eights Fight Back in Final Game
The only win for the SoCal Hard Eights came in the second mixed doubles match. Jalina Ingram and Blaine Hovenier defeated Christian Alshon and Kaitlyn Christian 11-9, showing strong coordination and effort despite the overall team loss.
Because the Ranchers had already won three games, there was no need for a DreamBreaker, the final tiebreaker round usually played when matches are tied 2-2
