St. Louis Shock Dominates MLP Dallas: Undefeated Run Sets Stage for Playoff Showdown

MLP Dallas Pickleball Playoff Race: The St. Louis Shock finished the 2025 Major League Pickleball Dallas event undefeated, locking in the number one seed for the playoffs. The event, held over four days, featured some of the league’s best teams and delivered thrilling matches. St. Louis won 11 straight matches, dropping only one point.

A Perfect Finish for St. Louis

The St. Louis Shock earned 31 out of a possible 33 points across their last two events. With a season total of 74 points, they officially secured the top playoff spot. The team’s strong lineup has been key to their success.

Hayden Patriquin led the way with a 21-1 game record. Gabe Tardio went 19-3, Anna Bright finished 17-5, and Kate Fahey posted a 15-7 record. Together, the team went 72-16 in games for an 82% win rate.

Their wins were not just against lower-ranked teams. They beat Atlanta Bouncers, Chicago Slice, New York Hustlers, Phoenix Flames, SoCal Hard 8s, and Carolina Hogs. They also defeated top-tier teams like Columbus Sliders, Dallas Flash, Brooklyn Pickleball Team, Los Angeles Mad Drops, and New Jersey 5s.

Los Angeles Mad Drops Show Promise

Ben Johns returned to form with the Los Angeles Mad Drops, showing leadership and energy during MLP Dallas. The team had time to build chemistry before the playoffs, playing six matches together.

They narrowly lost to New Jersey 5s in a Dreambreaker, 22-20. Then, they faced Dallas Flash and came back from a 0-6 start in the Dreambreaker to win 21-18.

The Mad Drops could be a tough team to beat in the playoffs. If the Texas Ranchers or Orlando Squeeze move up in points, Los Angeles might be seeded seventh and play a lower-ranked team in the first round.

Hurricane Tyra Black Shines for Dallas

Hurricane Tyra Black went undefeated in MLP Dallas, winning all 12 of her matches. Her performance helped Dallas Flash finish the season with 71 points—just three behind St. Louis.

Even though they fell short of the top seed, Dallas made a big impact by hosting what many are calling one of the best events in MLP history. Sources say the event likely broke attendance records.

Fans enjoyed an exciting atmosphere, with indoor seating, strong team performances, and great visibility. A blackout with a live drumline was used to introduce the Dallas team, energizing the crowd.
