Miami Pickleball Club Eyes Playoff Climb
The Miami Pickleball Club entered Friday with an 8-13 record and 21 points. They held the tenth and final playoff spot after beating the Chicago Slice in a DreamBreaker match on Thursday. Miami played the Atlanta Bouncers next, aiming to get their second win in Utah.
Jay Devilliers leads Miami as they push to pass the Utah Black Diamonds in the standings. The Black Diamonds also stand at 8-13 but have 23 points. A strong weekend performance from Miami could help them overtake Utah.
Chicago Slice Seeks Recovery
The Chicago Slice also remain in the playoff hunt. They stood just one point behind Miami with a 5-17 record and 20 points. However, Thursday was tough for Chicago, as they lost DreamBreaker matches to both Texas and Miami.
Looking to rebound, the Slice faced the Utah Black Diamonds. With playoffs on the horizon, every point is crucial, and Chicago hoped to bounce back quickly.

Texas Ranchers vs. Orlando Squeeze Rematch
One of the biggest matchups of the day featured the Texas Ranchers and the Orlando Squeeze. Texas had a 13-9 record and 41 points, while Orlando entered with a 13-8 record and 37 points.
The Ranchers had beaten the Squeeze 4-0 earlier this season at MLP Austin. But this match was different, as both teams made roster changes. Texas added Kaitlyn Christian and had Wyatt Stone step in for Christian Alshon. Orlando picked up Milan Rane from the Miami Pickleball Club.
If Texas wins all three remaining matches in regulation, they could pass the Los Angeles Mad Drops (18-7, 49 points) for sixth place, which would earn them a first-round playoff bye. Orlando hoped to move past Texas into seventh place, though they could not catch Los Angeles.
