Utah Starts Strong in Doubles Matches
The match began at 2:30 PM MST with the women’s doubles. Etta Tuionetoa and Allyce Jones of the Utah Black Diamonds played solidly to win 11–5 over Tamaryn Emmrich and Mya Bui of the Miami Pickleball Club.
In men’s doubles at 2:50 PM MST, Connor Garnett and Tyler Loong gave Utah a 2–0 lead after defeating Jay Devilliers and Yuta Funemizu 11–6. Utah’s energy and teamwork helped them keep the pressure high from the first serve.
Mixed Doubles Seals the Series for Utah
The third match at 3:10 PM MST saw Connor Garnett and Allyce Jones dominate Yuta Funemizu and Mya Bui with an 11–2 win in mixed doubles. With that, Utah had already clinched the series 3–0 and avoided the need for a DreamBreaker.
Miami Gets One Back in Final Match
The final match at 3:30 PM MST featured Tyler Loong and Etta Tuionetoa against Jay Devilliers and Tamaryn Emmrich. This time, Miami turned things around, winning 11–3. Although Utah had already won the match, this game gave Miami a positive ending.
