PPA Tour Bristol Open 2025: The Professional Pickleball Association (PPA) Tour’s Bristol Open will take place from August 5 to August 10, 2025, at the Bristol Sportsplex in Bristol, Tennessee. This event brings together the world’s best pickleball pros and enthusiastic amateur players for six days of exciting matches and competition.
Players Compete Where the Pros Play
Amateur players will get a special chance to compete near the Championship Court, where the top professionals, including world number one players Anna Leigh Waters and Ben Johns, will battle for major prizes. Courts will be live-streamed and posted on YouTube, giving fans access to plenty of live and recorded matches.
Spectators can watch all the action from courtside, and volunteers and referees can also register to take part in the event.
Tour Camp for Amateur Development
A PPA Tour Camp is offered on August 5 and 6, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. each day. It’s open to 3.0 and 4.0 level amateur players and costs $400 per person. The camp includes six hours of training from PPA professionals, one courtside ticket to a day of your choice, and discounts from Pickleball Central.
The refund policy is strict:
Full refunds for cancellations made 30+ days before the camp.
50% refund if canceled between 15–30 days.
No refunds for cancellations made less than 14 days before.

Tournament Formats and Match Details
Different divisions follow specific rules:
Amateur Divisions:
Skill levels 5.0 & 4.5: Double elimination, no come-around.
Main Draw: Best of 3 games to 11 (win by 2).
Consolation: One game to 15 (win by 2).
Bronze and Gold: Best of 3 games to 11.
Skill levels 4.0, 3.5 & 3.0:
Formats depend on the number of teams.
Under 12 teams: Round Robin, sometimes with playoffs.
Over 13 teams: Double elimination with no come-around.
All brackets are seeded using DUPR ratings. Events may be combined if there are fewer than four teams or players.

Special Divisions for Juniors and Seniors
Junior PPA Division:
8+ teams: Double elimination, no come-around.
Less than 8: Round Robin with or without playoffs.
Gold matches: Best of 3 games to 11.
Bronze: One game to 15.
“If there are fewer than 3 teams in Doubles or 4 players in Singles, events may be canceled or combined.”
Senior Open Division:
Format: Double elimination with no come-around.
Main Draw: Best of 3 games to 11.
Consolation: One game to 15.
Fewer than 5 teams or 4 players: Round Robin.
Brackets may be shortened if needed due to weather or scheduling problems.
Rules for Registration and Partner Policy
Players must register and pay, and have a registered and paid partner. If your partner doesn’t register within 7 days, your team is moved to the waitlist. If the event fills up in that time, your spot is not guaranteed.
If you lose your partner after registration closes, you must find a replacement who is already registered and in the same age/skill group.

Top players with Gold Card status get automatic spots in the main draw. Others must qualify, depending on the number of spots available.

Singles: Best of 3 to 11
Doubles: Best of 5 to 11
Bronze: Best of 3 to 11

$1,000 Money Ball Bracket
This special bracket is for non-pro players with a rating of 6.0 or lower. It includes gender and mixed doubles in one bracket.
Entry Fee: $75 per person
Limit: 16 teams only
Format: Double Elimination
Main Draw: Best of 3 to 11
Loser’s Bracket: One game to 15
Players cannot compete in Money Ball if they’re also playing another event on the same day. Pro players under contract cannot enter. Prize money:
1st place: $600
2nd place: $400
