Dink Minor League Pickleball Beenleigh Tournament: The Dink Minor League Pickleball, a sanctioned Pickleball Australia event, will be held at Beenleigh Pickleball Club in Queensland on Sunday, August 31, 2025. Registration costs AUD 75. Winners in each division will earn official Minor League Pickleball medals and invitations to the National Championships in Brisbane on September 12–13, 2025.
About the Competition
The event uses the MLPlay™ team format, which is designed to make matches more exciting and social. Teams of four, made up of two men and two women, will compete in four games: women’s doubles, men’s doubles, and two mixed doubles.
If the score is tied 2–2 after four games, the match will be decided by a Dreambreaker™, where players rotate in singles rallies until one side reaches 21 points and wins by two.
Organizers said, “The future of pickleball is NOW: The Dink Minor League Pickleball is sweeping the nation with its innovative, fun and social amateur MLPlay™ Team Event.”
There will also be a prize for the best dressed team at the event.
Divisions and Rules
Teams will compete in DUPR divisions based on combined ratings:
DUPR 20 (team total under 20.99)
DUPR 18 (team total under 18.30, max player rating 5.10)
DUPR 16 (team total under 16.30, max player rating 4.60)
DUPR 14 (team total under 14.30, max player rating 4.10)
DUPR 12 (team total under 12.30, max player rating 3.60)
Once a team registers, its rating is locked, meaning later changes will not affect division placement.
All players must have a DUPR account to sign up. Players without ratings can still join, but their estimated level will be checked by the tournament director.
Registration Options
Players can register as part of a team or individually. If registering alone, players must list their team name and DUPR division. Players without teams may be assigned one by the director. If placement is not possible, the player’s registration fee will be refunded.
Refund Policy
Cancellations must be made at least 15 days before the event to receive a refund, minus a AUD 5 technology fee and a 3% processing fee. Players who sign up individually but cannot be placed on a team will get their fee refunded within five business days after the event ends.
