Dink Minor League Pickleball Championship: The Dink Minor League Pickleball South Carolina State Championship will bring fast-paced team action to the Cayce Pickleball Complex on September 27–28, 2025. Presented by Pickleball Charleston and hosted by Max Easton, the tournament invites players of all skill levels to compete in a fun and social format for cash prizes and bragging rights.
Exciting Team Format
The event uses the unique Minor League Pickleball MLPlay™ format, where teams of four players—two men and two women—face off in a series of games. Each team match features four 21-point games: one women’s doubles, one men’s doubles, and two mixed doubles. If the score is tied 2–2 after these games, a Dreambreaker™ tiebreaker decides the winner. In a Dreambreaker™, one player from each team plays singles while teammates rotate every four rallies until one side reaches 21 points and wins by two.
Registration and Fees
Registration is open until September 24, 2025. The cost is $85 per player, and players must register and pay as a team. Single players can also register and will be matched to a team if possible. Those not placed will receive a full refund minus a $5 technology fee and a 3% processing fee.
DUPR Divisions
Teams compete in divisions based on their combined DUPR rating. The divisions include DUPR 20 (team rating up to 20.99), DUPR 18 (up to 18.30, max individual 5.10), DUPR 16 (up to 16.30, max individual 4.60), DUPR 14 (up to 14.30, max individual 4.10), and DUPR 12 (up to 12.30, max individual 3.60). Once a team registers, its ratings are locked, and any changes will not affect placement.
Substitutions and Rules
Teams needing a substitute can update their roster online or by contacting the tournament organizer. Substitute players must meet the DUPR limits for the chosen division. To participate, players must have a DUPR account or an estimated rating verified by the tournament director. Full rules are available on the Minor League Pickleball website.
Cancellations and Refunds
Players who cancel by 15 days before the event will receive a refund minus the $5 technology fee and a 3% processing fee. After the deadline, no refunds are offered. Individual players who are not placed on a team will get a full refund, minus fees, within 3–5 business days after the event.

The South Carolina State Championship highlights the rapid growth of team pickleball and provides a welcoming environment for amateurs to compete, meet new players, and experience a professional-style format.
