The Picklr in Hurst, Texas, will host The Dink Minor League Pickleball Tournament on September 27 and 28, 2025, bringing a fast-growing team format to local players. Tournament Schedule
The tournament will begin Saturday, September 27, with matches starting at 8 a.m. for DUPR 12, DUPR 20, DUPR 14 (50+), DUPR 16 (50+), and DUPR 18 (50+) divisions. Afternoon games at 3 p.m. will include DUPR 14, DUPR 16, and DUPR 18. Teams are placed in divisions based on their DUPR ratings, which measure skill levels.
Innovative Team Format
The Dink Minor League Pickleball introduces the MLPlay™ format, a new way to compete that mixes men’s and women’s games. Each team has four players—two men and two women. A team match consists of four 21-point games: women’s doubles, men’s doubles, and two mixed doubles. If the match ends tied at 2–2, it goes to a Dreambreaker™, where players rotate every four rallies in singles until one side reaches 21 and wins by two points.

Division Rules
Teams must meet DUPR rating limits to compete in their chosen division. For example, DUPR 20 requires a team total not exceeding 20.99, and DUPR 12 is capped at 12.30. Individual players also have maximum DUPR ratings for each level, such as 5.10 for DUPR 18 and 3.60 for DUPR 12. Once a team registers, ratings are locked and will not change division placement.
Registration and Substitutions
Players need a DUPR account to sign up, though unrated players may join with verification from the tournament director. Individuals without a full team can register as single players. If a single player cannot be placed on a team, their fee will be refunded. Teams needing substitutes can make changes through the Swish app or by emailing the tournament organizer. Any substitute must meet the division’s rating requirements.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations are allowed until 15 days before the start of the event. Refunds will be issued minus a $5 technology fee and a 3% processing fee. After the deadline, no refunds will be given. Players who register as individuals but are not placed on a team will receive a full refund, minus the same fees, within three to five business days after the tournament.
