NP Sacramento Pickleball Classic Kicks Off from 27 September in Roseville

NP Sacramento Pickleball Classic: The NP Sacramento Classic is gearing up to start from September 27 to September 29, 2024, at Johnson Ranch Pickleball in Roseville, California. This pickleball tournament promises an exciting weekend filled with competitive action across multiple formats, appealing to all individual players and teams.

Event Schedule

Friday, September 27

  • Option 1: Normal Men’s & Women’s Singles—participants can register via PickleballBrackets.com.
  • Option 2: The Dink Minor League Pickleball (MiLP) Team Event—details for this unique format are outlined below.

Saturday, September 28

  • Mixed Doubles matches will dominate the day.

Sunday, September 29

  • The final day features Men’s and Women’s Doubles competitions.

Daily Tournament Schedule: The earliest possible start time is 8 AM; however, not all divisions will commence at that hour, so players are encouraged to check their specific schedules closer to the event.

Registration and Fees

Registration Fee:

  • $85 per player (this fee increases to $95 starting September 23, 2024).

Additional Fees:

  • Event Fee: $15
  • PB Brackets Service Fee: $5-10 (exact amount varies).

Registration for The Dink MiLP Team Event is separate from the other events. Players cannot participate in the singles competition and The Dink MiLP on Friday.

The Dink MiLP Price:

  • $70.00 per player (team registration required, with teams consisting of two men and two women).

The Dink MLPlay Format

The Dink Minor League Pickleball features team-based competition in a format that includes four games:

  • One women’s doubles
  • One men’s doubles
  • Two mixed doubles

Matches consist of four 21-point games using rally scoring. If teams are tied 2-2 after the four games, they will proceed to a Dreambreaker to determine the winner. In this format, one player from each team competes in singles, alternating every four rallies until someone scores 21 points, winning by 2.

Bracket Formats

The tournament will utilize various bracket formats, ensuring fair competition and engagement. Here’s how they break down:

  • 3 Teams: Double-Round Robin format with games to 15 points. The top 2 teams advance to a Gold medal match (best 2 out of 3 to 11).
  • 4 Teams: Single-Round Robin, games to 15, leading to semi-finals and a Gold match.
  • 5-7 Teams: Similar to the 4-team format but with the top 4 teams advancing to semi-finals.
  • 8-9 Teams: Single-Round Robin to 11 points, with semi-finals and a Gold match.
  • 10-12 Teams: Two pools with a Single-Round Robin to 15 points, advancing top teams to semi-finals and a Gold match.

Please note that these formats are subject to change at any time. All events will adhere to USAPA rules.

Refund Policy

Players may withdraw for a refund up to 24 hours before their bracket plays. Only the registration and event fees are refundable; the processing fee charged by PickleballBrackets.com will not be returned.

National Pickleball events are outdoor events, and while organizers will make every effort to complete matches, weather or unforeseen circumstances may disrupt play. Refunds will only be issued if an event cannot start.
