With the score at 2-0, the 5s’ Waters and Howells clinched the series by taking down Texas’ Pisnik and Duong 25-20 in mixed doubles, sealing the victory for New Jersey. After the match, Navratil expressed the team’s appreciation for the electric atmosphere at the USTA National Campus. “You can’t get this fired up in any other atmosphere,” he said, acknowledging the charged environment created by the fans. The 5s are now waiting to see who they’ll face in Sunday’s final, as Dallas Flash leads St. Louis Shock 1-0 with one more game left in their series.
