Despite Chicago missing two key players, Brendon Long and Allison Harris, replacements Wyatt Stone and Michelle Esquivel stepped up to lead their team to the finals.
The championship match in Central Florida saw both teams trading sweeps. Miami opened with a commanding 3-0 win in Match 1, while Chicago answered with an identical 3-0 sweep in Match 2, setting the stage for a tense deciding series.

Miami Dominates Decider
Miami took control in Match 3, with Rane and Oshiro delivering a 25-10 drubbing to Megan Fudge and Esquivel in women’s doubles. The momentum continued as Oncins and Khlif fought off Jack Munro and Stone in a nail-biting men’s doubles clash, winning 28-26 to put Miami ahead 2-0.
Chicago mounted a last-ditch effort with Fudge and Munro securing a 28-26 victory against Rane and Oncins in the first mixed doubles game. However, Oshiro and Khlif sealed the championship with a dominant 25-11 win over Esquivel and Stone, clinching the Challenger level title.
Promotion Awaits All Four Finalists
While Miami emerged victorious, the weekend’s Challenger level finale offered good news for all participating teams. Miami, Chicago, SoCal Hard Eights, and Atlanta Bouncers have all secured promotion to the Premier level for the 2025 season. SoCal claimed third place on Sunday, while Atlanta rounded out the top four.
This season’s Challenger finale highlighted not only Miami’s dominance but also the rising competitiveness across the league, setting the stage for a thrilling Premier level in 2025.
