Minor League Pickleball is known for its exciting MLPlay format, which combines strategy and fun. Teams of 4 compete against one another in a series of games, with each team playing a women’s doubles match, a men’s doubles match, and two mixed doubles games. In the case of a tie, the event culminates in the Dreambreaker, where one player from each team competes in a singles match to decide the winner.
DUPR Divisions
- DUPR 20: Team’s aggregate rating must not exceed 20.99
- DUPR 18: Team’s aggregate rating must not exceed 18.30 (Maximum individual DUPR: 5.10)
- DUPR 16: Team’s aggregate rating must not exceed 16.30 (Maximum individual DUPR: 4.60)
- DUPR 14: Team’s aggregate rating must not exceed 14.30 (Maximum individual DUPR: 4.10)
- DUPR 12: Team’s aggregate rating must not exceed 12.30 (Maximum individual DUPR: 3.60)
Once a team registers, their ratings are locked, meaning any changes to individual ratings won’t affect their eligibility. To participate, players must have a DUPR account.
Substitute Players: Teams may substitute players if necessary. A substitute’s DUPR must not push the team’s aggregate rating over the event’s maximum.
Single Registrations: Players who wish to register as individuals but don’t have a team can still sign up. Tournament organizers will try to place them on existing teams, and registration fees will be refunded for players who are not placed.
