CJ Klinger and Quang Duong Advance to Finals: CJ Klinger and Quang Duong have proven their dominance in the men’s doubles competition at the Proton Australia Pickleball Open. The teenage duo, who entered the tournament as No. 3 seeds, are set to compete in the final after impressive performances on Friday at the Melbourne Convention Center.

Teenage Tandem Impresses on Championship Sunday

Klinger and Duong delivered standout performances throughout the day, and it became clear that they were the team to beat. Their quarterfinal match against No. 6 seeds Bao Duong and Phuc Huynh, however, was particularly memorable. The match marked the first time the Duong brothers had faced each other on the PPA Tour, and Bao, only 14 years old, gave his all.

Despite an opening “Nasty-Nelson,” which initially set them back, Klinger and Duong recovered quickly to claim a commanding 11-4, 11-2 victory, securing a spot in the semifinals against No. 2 seeds Jay Devilliers and Collin Johns.

Semifinal Dominance

The semifinal showdown was no contest, as Klinger and Duong easily dismantled the veteran duo of Devilliers and Johns with an 11-2, 11-3 performance.

Their efficiency and clinical execution left little doubt about their potential, earning them a place in the men’s doubles final of the tournament.

Quang Duong expressed high praise for his partner CJ Klinger after their dominant win.
