Louisiana Amateur Pickleball Championships Offer Big Prizes and World Qualifiers

The 2025 Louisiana Amateur Pickleball Championships, powered by the Carvana PPA Tour and Southern Pickleball, will take place from June 27-29, 2025, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Players of all skill levels can compete for prizes, rankings, and a chance to qualify for the World Championships in Dallas, Texas.

Event Overview

The tournament will feature five divisions: Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles. Skill levels range from 3.0 to 5.0+, and age groups span from 8 to 70+.

The event promises a four-match guarantee for all teams. Players can register for two events for $80, with an additional $40 charge for a third event.

The event will be held at Stacks, located at 9550 Dawnadele Ave in Baton Rouge. The competition will begin each day at 8:00 AM, with start times for specific events provided a week before the tournament.

Qualification for World Championships

This year, the Louisiana tournament is part of the “2025 Amateur Pickleball State Championship Series,” which includes championships across all 50 states. Gold, silver, and bronze medalists will qualify for free or discounted registration to the World Championships in Dallas.

Southern Pickleball has also announced that medalists in these state championships will earn spots at the 2025/26 Southern Championships, which will take place at Rhythm and Rally Sports and Events in Macon, Georgia.

Registration Details

Registration opens on February 7, 2025, and closes on June 21, 2025. Players who register by June 16, 2025, will receive a free tournament shirt. Late registration after June 16 will incur a $15 fee. A $5 per event service fee applies through PickleballTournaments.com.

Participants are required to find a partner within five days of registration. If a partner does not register within that time, the team will be moved to the waitlist. Players will not secure their spot until both fees are paid.

Tournament Format

Matches will be played using a round-robin format, followed by medal brackets. Teams in brackets with fewer than five teams may be merged to ensure competitive play. The event will also feature self-monitored matches, with referees available upon request.

Refund Policy

Players may withdraw from the tournament by June 7 for a full refund, minus a $20 administrative fee. After June 7, no refunds will be provided, unless tournament insurance has been purchased.
