Catherine Parenteau and Federico Staksrud battled through a tough three-game match to defeat Tina Pisnik and Andrei Daescu in the Carvana Mesa Cup mixed doubles quarterfinals. The No. 4 seeds secured their spot in the semifinals with a 10-12, 11-4, 11-5 victory at the Arizona Athletic Grounds in Mesa, Arizona.

Overcoming a Tough Start

Pisnik and Daescu, seeded No. 7, came out strong in the first game, edging out Parenteau and Staksrud 12-10. However, the fourth-seeded duo quickly regained control, dominating the second game 11-4 before sealing the win with an 11-5 third-game finish. Their resilience and ability to adjust under pressure proved crucial in the comeback.

Semifinal Clash Set

With this victory, Parenteau and Staksrud move on to face No. 2 Jorja Johnson and JW Johnson in what promises to be an exciting semifinal showdown. The Johnson siblings advanced after defeating No. 6 Jessie Irvine and Gabe Tardio in their quarterfinal matchup.
