Christian Alshon and Andrei Daescu Battle Back to Secure Spot in PPA Mesa Cup Championship

Christian Alshon and Andrei Daescu staged a comeback victory over Hayden Patriquin and Federico Staksrud in the men’s doubles semi-finals at the PPA Carvana Mesa Cup in Mesa, Arizona. After dropping the first game, Alshon and Daescu recovered to win 4-11, 11-5, 11-5, securing their place in the championship match.

Slow Start, Strong Finish

Patriquin and Staksrud came out strong, controlling the first game with aggressive net play and well-placed shots to claim an 11-4 win. However, Alshon and Daescu regrouped in the second game, adjusting their strategy and finding their rhythm to win 11-5.

The deciding game saw Alshon and Daescu take full control. Their precise shot selection and improved defensive play kept Patriquin and Staksrud on the back foot, allowing them to close out the match with another 11-5 victory.
