The match appeared to be slipping away when Ford and Delgado trailed 8-10 in the second game, but they saved three match points and forced a deciding game. They then surged ahead 7-3 in the third before Duong and Tellez fought back to level the score at 8-8. However, Ford and Delgado regained control, winning three straight points to seal the win after just over an hour of play.

Following the match, Zane Ford expressed his excitement over the breakthrough victory.
“This is probably the biggest win of my career so far in doubles, and I couldn’t be happier,” Ford said. “James played so well. He was everything in this match.”
