Waters Dominates Despite Heavy Workload

After competing in two earlier title matches, Waters showed no signs of fatigue, outpacing Jansen at the kitchen line and countering her opponent’s sharp angles with powerful passing shots.

Jansen made a late push in Game 2, winning six straight points to close the gap to 7-10, but Waters held firm, closing out the match on her second championship point. The win keeps Waters undefeated in singles in 2025.

A Special Victory at Home

For Waters, winning three titles in one day was made even sweeter by doing it in her hometown of Florida.

“It’s awesome being here in Florida. Being in my hometown and seeing a lot of people that I haven’t seen in a while really helped push me through, especially with all of these tournaments on the tour taking place around the country. It really made this one feel special, so I’m really glad that I could get a Triple Crown here.” – (Waters)

With her 33rd Triple Crown, Waters extends her all-time record—Ben Johns, in comparison, holds 21.

What’s Next for Waters?

Waters will aim for Triple Crown No. 34 at next week’s CIBC Texas Open, where she will once again be the favorite in singles, doubles, and mixed doubles.

Bronze Medal Match

In the bronze medal match, Kate Fahey (No. 4 seed) defeated Zoey Chao Yi Wang (No. 8 seed) 11-3, 11-3 to secure her spot on the podium.
