Cailyn Campbell Pulls Off Jaw-Dropping Victory: Cailyn Campbell delivered a major upset at the Black Desert Resort Red Rock Open in St. George, Utah, defeating reigning champion Mary Brascia 13-11, 11-6. The 14-year-old secured her spot in the women’s singles Round of 16, marking one of the biggest surprises of the tournament.

A Rising Star Breaks Through

Campbell, who advanced from Wednesday’s qualifying round, displayed confidence and skill against the No. 6 seed. She credited her victory to staying focused and playing at her highest level.

Her performance stunned spectators, as she took control of both games to eliminate last year’s champion.

Looking Ahead to the Next Round

Campbell will next face No. 22 seed Victoria DiMuzio in the Round of 16. A victory would propel her into the quarterfinals, solidifying her position as a rising talent in professional pickleball.

Meanwhile, Campbell had the opportunity to support her older brother, Cason Campbell, who competed in the men’s singles Round of 16 against No. 2 seed Hunter Johnson.
