Hunter Johnson vs Jack Sock: The stage is set for an exciting men’s singles final at the Black Desert Resort Red Rock Open. No. 2 seed Hunter Johnson will take on No. 7 seed Jack Sock on Championship Sunday at Little Valley Sports Complex in St. George, Utah.
Johnson secured his spot in the final with a hard-fought victory over No. 5 Quang Duong in the semifinals. After dropping the first game, Johnson rallied for a 9-11, 11-3, 11-8 win on Saturday. The 30-year-old is chasing his second singles title of the season, having previously won gold at the Proton Tucson Open in February. Johnson, a consistent force on the PPA Tour, already holds four career singles titles.

Sock Seeks First PPA Singles Title
Sock advanced to the final with a comeback win of his own, defeating No. 3 Connor Garnett 6-11, 11-5, 11-7 in a thrilling semifinal match on Humana Championship Court. The four-time tennis Grand Slam champion also made headlines earlier in the tournament by eliminating top seed Federico Staksrud in the quarterfinals.
While Sock is still seeking his first singles gold on the PPA Tour, he came close last year in Utah, settling for silver. Now, he is eager for redemption.
“I’m definitely looking for some revenge. I’m going to just go out and play my game. That’s all I can do,”. “Hunter’s probably been one of the best singles players for the last six to eight months, so I’ll be up for it. It’ll be a tough match, but I’ll take my chances.”(Jack Sock)
